cannot get 3d with panny 350

hi i have the panny 350 set to checkerboard have main hooked up with hdmi cable to the 0nkyo 608 recieverthen hdmi from the reciever to a samsung a 750 3d ready dlp in input 3 on the sammy. when i go into menu on the samsung tv the 3d effect is grayed out and i cannot select it any help driving me crazy

There are issues with the Onkyo 608 passing the 3D flag to the tv. You may want to check this thread out.

I don't believe that there is any '3D flag' when it comes to checkerboard output.

Op: try one of the other HDMI ports on the tv. Also try assigning the name 'pc' to the port.

Edit: Just looked up the manual for your tv. You need to connect your HDMI cable to the HDMI3/DVI port. Hope this helps.

Since the Panny has two HDMI outputs hook the first one to teh Samsung HDMI3 input and the second one to the Onkyo.

I just got my panny 350 today and hooked it up to my Samsung DLP TV going thru my Integra 80.1. To get it to work the output from the Integra has to go to DLP 3 on the TV and the input name for DLP 3 in the TV setup has to be set to PC. Once the 3d disc starts playing or the 3d test screen on the panny comes on I can press the 3d button on the TV remote and turn on the 3d mode. Works great. I played the 3D demo disc that came with the panny and Monsters Vs Aliens 3D.
