First let me start by saying: this is a great forum, and I already learned alot!
Now my "problem":
I recently bought a Samsung UE55C6700 (wich presumably is the same as the american UN55c6500) and tried to "calibrate" a THX optimizer i found on the pixar "cars" dvd. I know these are biased towards the cars movie, but i reconned it is a nice first step for an amateur like me. And cars is a nice reference movie i guess.
I disabled all the fancy (and useless
) processing like edge enhancement etc, but when setting the contrast while looking at the 4 (?) shades of white test pattern, no matter what contrast setting, I can always distinguish all the shades. i tried to see if the backlight setting had anything to do with it, but that doesnt seem so.
Did I forget to disable an image processing feature?
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm using "Movie" and "warm" as base settings.
