Am I asking too much?

hi there,

I'm the newest noob so forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong place. It's just that I've spent most of my time over the past few weeks trying to find something that I'm starting to think doesn't exist.

I had a ROKU M1000 Network music player and it gave up, so I'm looking to replace it. But it seems that these days the new players only come with subscription based music services, and I want to be able to play from sites of my choosing by entering the URL somewhere.

I live in Canada, so maybe that's part of the problem. But I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to one or more such devices that will play my choice of Internet stations as well as wi fi from my music collection on my PC?

THanks much.

Are you looking for a receiver or a device like the ROKU?

Many networked receivers support basic internet radio as well as Pandora etc...

The Pioneer VSX-1020-K will play Shoutcast stations. You can browse to the receiver and edit the presets (URLs) quite easily. It's a great feature.
