IMAX: Grand Canyon Adventure 3D Blu-ray

Hands down the most amazing disc to date. From the beginning the water droplets and intro are within reaching distance, the entire movie is amazing in 3D. Forget the animated title, get this to show your friends.

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003...ef=oss_product

Plays fine in the US region A. Defaults to German audio and subtitles but is easily changed.

I either ordered the Grand Canyon disk or David Halsselhoff's greatest hits

Watching the sunset over the Grand Canyon to the audio of an oom-pah polka band playing the Blue Danube Waltz can actually be changed to a rendition of The Grand Canyon Suite? (Seriously, I've got one on the way unless that message from Amazon.de is trying to tell me I owe an additional .93 Euros before they will release it in the mail.)

Nah, it just got one euro cheaper. That's the reimbursement, minus VAT (which you don't pay in the first place when ordering from outside the EU).

Yeah. It showed up in today's mail and I didn't order it express either. Also of note in the flyleaf it noted a number of other titles that will be coming out in Blu-Ray 3D in the (hopefully) near future:

They include: Mumien (Mummies, Secrets of the Pharaohs -USA 2007); Hurrikan uber Louisiana (Hurricane on the Bayou -USA 2006); Die Alpen (The Alps - Climb of Your Life -USA 2007); Das Gluck der Erde (Ride Around the World -USA 2006); Fantastische Hohlen (Journey into Amazing Caves -USA 2000); Dinosaurier (Dinosauts Alive -USA 2007); Vulkane in der Tiefsee (Volcanoes of the Deep -USA 2003); Wild Ocean USA- 2008.)

The way they are advertised is that they are now available in 2D Blu-ray and DVD and "Weitere 3D Titel in Planung." I assume that means something like, "Presently 3D titles are in the planning."

(Apologies to our German readers for not being able to add the umlauts. Additionally maybe these should be added to Lee's listing of forthcoming 3D content on the sticky.)

Woo hoo! - Glad to hear it's region free. Mine is on the way too - since it shipped the same time as yours (I assume) and I had it shipped "standard" also, maybe it will appear in the next day or two.

IMAX is totally into 3D. They were skeptical at first. They have a huge library and are wanting this to work out.

$42.50

I can't say what those that order it have been charged but if I add it up for disc(23.99 euros) and shipping to the US(14.00 euros) it adds up to about 38 euros which is about $47.70 in US dollars. I'll wait for the US release.

Without the VAT, the disc came out to less than 21 Euros.

I paid $30 for shipping. Didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get it like I had to with Cloudy that I ordered from Amazon.de.

Unlike Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which was always planned for multi-national release, there is currently no US release of Grand Canyon Adventure scheduled.

You added it three times to your shopping cart. You want one copy or 3?
I ordered Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball from Amazon.de but refused delivery upon learning that it would be released here also. They got it back and promptly credited my card just like Amazon.com does.
