This may be a difficult endeavor but I would like to find a center channel that will integrate well with a pair of Klipsch KG 5.5's which are long discontinued. I also have an Hsu VTF-3 MK3.

I have tried a couple of center channels out over the years (before the Hsu), and always returned them. My system sounds fantastic without a center speaker (4.1). In fact the center channel content seems to come directly from the middle of my picture... something I could never accomplish with a center speaker (given that it's rear-projected).

So why even bother shopping for a center if I'm happy without it?

Well, I have a new Denon AVR-3311CI on the way to replace my Yamaha that is on the fritz, and from what I understand, the Denon has no way to adjust the volume of the center channel if there is no center speaker attached. So if I'm not perfectly happy with what Audyssey does, I'm out of luck.

My other concern is that my TV (67" Samsung DLP) has thin shelves below it, so I don't really have a great spot for a center. Ideally it would go on these shelves, but practically, I almost certainly will want something larger. On the other hand, since I added the Hsu sub, I have all speakers set to "small". So I guess I don't need anything that hits below 80Hz.

So given all that, any recommendations?

I notice Hsu has a center (I'm a new fan of this company):

SVS has a center (they were a close 2nd when I was choosing my sub):

I'd rather buy local though since I have a history of returning center channel speakers.

I'm certainly open to Klipsch, as they might be the best match for my mains, but I'm not familiar with their new product lines:

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or advice.
