Help: ViewSonic Pro8100 works as general plug&play monitor

Thread Starter
My Pro8100 is connected to the computer (Win 7 x64) with an HDMI cable to the video card through a DVI/HDMI convertor, and it had been working great. Today when I switched the output of the computer to the Pro8100, it had no response and continued to project the red logo. I checked the device manager and found the projector was working as a "general plug&play monitor". I tried to delete and reinstall the projector, and the samething happened. Anybody had such problem before?

Were any windows updates installed recently that might have updated your video drivers? Try checking device manager and seeing if you can do a rollback on either the video card drivers, monitor drivers, or both.
