Yamaha RX-V663 AV Receiver
Kind of a jumbled mess, it was pieced together slowly on a super low budget. Calibrated my TV with a Spyder, YPAO for the speaker equilization & used the el cheapo RadioShack SLM for SPL levels. Not the greatest system, but it does the job. I kinda want to get a cheap classic stereo tube amp to hook up to the NS-1000 for fun (one that is a DIY build) ~recommendations?

He had an old school Yamaha Receiver (with a first gen Sony DVD player) with a separate first gen AC-3 (Dolby Digital) decoder, but it took a crap (they were pretty damn old...) so I gave him my Sony STR & upgraded myself to the Yammy 663.
Here are just a few pictures of the components, I later realized that I didn't take any pictures of the subs... oh well.
So my Dad decided it was time to up the ante a little bit...

2x Magnepan MMG W On-Wall Magneplanars
1x Magnepan MMG C Center Magneplanar
B&K Reference 70 Preamp
B&K Reference 200.7 Amp
The Definitives have already been ordered, will come in soon.
The Magnepans should be ordered by Tues.
Still trying to strike a deal on the B&K Preamp.
He was going to get the 200.5 but he got a nice deal on a 200.7
He may upgrade his TV, as well as the media players... but that's still up in the air.
