There is this magical thing called "context". We use it to discern why quote marks are being used. It's seemed to have worked out pretty well for us so far.

Anyway, my newest desktop build is coming along; I intend to fully integrate it into my home theater setup with my DLP TV as monitor #1, then it's off to shop for Diablo 3. I currently game on my XBOX but it's getting kinda long in the tooth, and I suspect it will soon meet its demise.

Anti-class action lawsuit, but there's still the opportunity in the EULA for you as an individual to go through arbitration and they'll cover the court costs. Considering how ridiculous most class action lawsuits are, that seems pretty fair to me.

He was responding to something I said joeblow. That game won't be available until Sept. So the last time I was on Steam I was playing HL 2 and I don't remember the game costing $60 bucks. Is that pretty much the standard for good games these days? I was paying that kind of money for PS3 games and games like BF 3 on XBOX. Pretty steep prices.

Nah, I was at PAX last year when Randy handed a copy out to every person in the room. So we have a pair of copies that will be shipped to us when the game launches in September.

I see that angle and fully understand the concept but this of administrative law precedent is not very cool from a personal liberty standpoint. TSA has invoked similar administrative laws.

Woohoo! My most annoyed problem with Steam has been addressed. Valve has FINALLY fixed the offline mode and it now works perfectly:

It's not isolated, my brother has the same issue, as do some friends online and at work. What videocard do you use? I think it's an AMD thing from what I've read.

One not-so-obvious suggestion is to pick up Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper. I got it during the last Steam sale and had a great time solving the graphic adventure game.

You really are forced to use deductive reasoning to make progress in the game, and the tools given to do so find a good balance at not being too obvious while not being impossibly vague either. Outside of a few pixel hunting issues for necessary items, this is a real gem of a game with a story that is surprisingly very interesting to follow. I will definitely get the latest release in the series after I clear more back log.

Dudes, Torchlight II for $15. I spent all last week playing that after finishing up Borderlands 2. Fantastic game and I highly recommend it. Torchlight II was well worth my $20. It's worth your $15 easy.

TF2 is easily my favorite competitive PC game ever. I have probably 1,200+ hours played divided between my four preferred classes alone (Demoman, Scout, Spy, and Engineer in that order). To be honest though,

I really only play vanilla 2Fort for its Capture-the-Intel mode. I like how random battles are created on the fly based on where the intel is dropped. When I'm on offense I use the Scout and/or the SPy to slip in between the enemies' defenses. When I'm on defense I usually go Demoman to protect our fort,but will grab an Engineer hat when we are being over run.

I'm into fighting games right now for online action, but I always come back to TF2. I'll look you up when I do.
