HA! Me too, l set all my games to tourist mode.

I bought flashpoint dragon rising, and talked a few friends into getting it so that we can try the 4 player co-op. For $ 3 it seems worth a try.

Yeah, OPDR isn't all that bad. It's just not CoD/BC 'action fun'. It's mil-sim and you have to know that going in and don't go in expecting a bunch of scripted action sequences and stuff. It's more free with a whole lot less hand holding. Yes, it can be more boring, I guess but I think the intensity of the firefights to totally outweigh any slow parts. There is quite a bit of running but you gotta do that cause youre free to attack a situation how ever you feel is the most tactical and practical. Heh.

The four player coop is sick and for $3 its a steal. Would have grabbed it for ya, James. Oh well. I'm sure we ALL have a ton of new games to play anyway.

Nice that Borderlands is on daily sale today. Picked up last 2 DLC's I didnt get last summer sale they had. Also got Overlord pack, as Ive been eying it up since last Christmas Sale never pulled the trigger on it till today. lol

For those of you who were looking for deals on Fallout New Vegas, it's 30 bucks for the next 21 hours.

OK so I played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising campaing single player for a few hours today. I think it is pretty cool. They say the whole single player campaign can be played co-op. The game is a complete open world sandbox type game. I played through the first mission and your squad has you and 3 other AI controlled mates (these would be real people in co-op). The mission was a little easy because your AI squadmates can see the enemy so easily, and open fire before you can even see the enemies. I think if it were real players, it would be alot more challenging and realistic. You and your partners would have to keep a close eye out in all directions, and mics would probably be a must. I think it would be really cool in co-op. Yeah it is a little slow with all the walking around, but you can also jump in any vehicles and drive or fly your squad around.

Also, today a very similar game is on sale: ARMA II. Reading reviews and such, it apparently has awesome co-op also. Lots of co-op missions you can also download as mods. Here is a video of a couple of guys playing co-op in a fierce battle - looks really cool:

I have OFP: DR and Arma2 with every single expansion and dlc for it. I love these games. Although I can't find people to play with. Anyone who is interested in that, hit me up on here or Steam.

just picked up the Overlord pack. For $3, why the heck not? Played the demo on the 360 and wasn't very impressed - controls seemed a little difficult. Looking forward to trying it out on the pc!

Dragon Age Ultimate... $25. So tempted!

I love these Steam sales. I've picked up 10 games in the last few days. Just purchased the Borderlands DLC this morning.

I've grabbed about 10 games thus far and am planning on about 6 more.

Has anyone played Back to the Future? It's getting decent reviews.

I'm not on Steam yet. Does buying a game include online multiplayer access for that game or do you pay extra for that?

Not to sound like a scrooge or anything but you don't need to spend over that amount to get the first Humble Bundle. I received the first bundle free earlier this week and I didn't spend the seemingly "needed" amount. I know I know, it's for charity though and you should spend what you're comfortable spending. Still unless I'm a unique case there doesn't seem to be a preapproved amount needed to get the first bundle for free.

Overall great deal on some pretty decent games. Heck Braid is worth it by itself.

Is there any way to tell how much online activity there is for a game before you buy it?

yup. buying is the same as if you bought the game at the store. only difference is you can't resell it/trade it in. there's also no refunds except for preorders prior to release.

yes, if you click on the link that shows how many people are logged into steam (it looks like a line graph) then there is a section there that has how many people are playing that game and a max value for the day...they have a top 50 list i think of games and players

Picked up the Serious Sam gold collection this morning. It's only $4 and has 16 player coop!

Just picked up Eve Online as well. Hell, for $5 and free lifetime expansions... how could I pass it up?

I've bought 18 games so far with these sales! lol I just got the serious sam collection for $3.99 I also go Dead rising 2 for $20 among metro and a ton of others Good deals. My steam games page now has an arrow for going down I have so many! lol

Borderlands for ten bucks. Trying it out with my brother. Decent game, kinda quirky. Don't really care for the boss fights but eh, co-op is fun enough.

I know what you mean. I am totally anti-monthly payment games. I did get to try the trial though and it seemed good enough for me to want to possibly get a character active some time. I just didn't want to pay the monthly deal. Though in this game, if you're good enough at making money, can pay off their monthly payment with ingame credits. That's pretty cool. Idk. Still not sure if I'm ready to get into it ...but if I do someday, I have it. Only cost $5 too. Can't beat that.

The boss fights were pretty weak on playthrough 1. Have you started playthrough 2 yet? That gets more difficult that the 1st go thru. Also, more people playing gets more enemy to spawn.
