I have all the Simbin games (Race 07, GTR1/2, Evolution etc) but I do only rFactor now since for me it's the most realistic then the simbin games (they are based on the same engine as rFactor's ISI g-motor). The sim bin games have better graphics out of the box and decent physics with mods. But rFactor with all the mods that are available is in many cases better then the Simbin titles (IMO). Race 07 is fun if you just want to race, there are many mods for it to make it more a sim then a game if you have the need. For $12 then go for it.

Direct2Drive has Civilization V as its daily deal today. It can be bought for ~$22 with the promo code BUNNY. It's a Steamworks title, so it can be activated on Steam.

I pulled the trigger and picked up Race 07 with the new expansion. Works perfect with SoftTH triple monitors and Freetrack head tracking software. Nice to have a developer that supports these features right out the box, without installing a million mods and ini edits. Never play a racing game on a single monitor again, huge advantage!!

It's EA week over on Steam. The terrible Dragon Age games are on sale today, but there should be other stuff each day this week. The selection can only get better from what is offered right now.

I'm hoping for a good deal on Dead Space 1/2, but I'm expecting 4 days of The Sims & Need for Speed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 33-50% discount on Dead Space 2. It's about that time. I'd also like to see Sims 3 on sale. I could also go for some NFS Shift for $5.

Bought DA:O Ultimate because I'd been looking at it for awhile. Download got to about 3.5 GB and then restarted at 0. WTF? I haven't had this happen before, but this is the first really huge game I've ever bought on Steam.

Have to say I'm not a fan of The Sims, but I probably would buy a recent NFS game for around $5.

BF Bad Company 2 hopefully makes the sale for cheap. I would like to have a copy for my spare pc, when ppls come over.

Steam is pretty smart about bandwidth, though occasionally dumb about stat tracking. I'd guess that the bits were downloaded, are still there, and will be used. The progress bar is probably just acting a little wonky.

The ad for 66% off Plant Vs Zombies you'll see when you launch Steam today? My buddy made that.

What is this terrible Dragon Age game you talk about? My Dragon Age Origins game was awesome. Where can I get the terrible edition?

You must have played it on the console

I was just about ready to jump on these (or the $15 Hot Pursuit) when I decided to hit the Steam forum and found all kinds of problems with NFS games in general on the PC. It sounds like EA and/or Valve (but probably EA) has been really bad about propagating patches to Steam. This has led users to find all sorts of workarounds to get patches applied that are needed to fix basic gameplay problems like severe input lag and broken force feedback.

Guess I'm going to go back on what I said earlier and not pick up any NFS games even though they're really cheap.

Good to know regarding the NFS patches. Doesn't sound worth the hassle to me.

Also, the problems with Dragon Age run far deeper than 360 Vs PC.

Please explain. I enjoy the game, though I don't feel it's the end-all-be-all of RPG's...

Mass Effect day today. $5 for ME1, $10 for ME2. I think I'll buy at least Mass Effect 1. I sold it awhile back on the Xbox and regret that decision. Probably should pick up ME2 as well that way I can carry my character over. Normally I'd say it's a dumb decision since I have it on the 360, but I can run with a much better framerate on the PC, where ME on the 360 has really struggled.

$10 Mass Effect 2? If you haven't played it yet, that is a Bioware RPG well worth putting some time in to!
$15 for Mass Effect 1 & 2 on the PC is money very well spent.
The only thing I hated about ME1 is the Mako, and it always felt easier to control on the 360 version. Otherwise, everything else was sweet either way.
Did you play the game with m+k or the 360 controller, Z?

Lol, I had both games already so no buy for me. Ugh. Nothing this week for sale that I didnt have already.

So I bought Brink instead and I fully expect you all to get it as well... damnit.
Oh geez...

So it's Crysis day for the sale. Both Crysis and Crysis Warhead. No Crysis 2 for sale. Shocking! Ugh. Not only that but ...this is a sale? $40 for both games? I swear I got the 'maximum edition' (comes with both games and the multiplayer thing) for $30 not on sale on Steam. Wtf? What kind of f**king retarded sale is that? Lol.

Get Brink! Especially all my Borderlands homies.... or anyone that wants to be a BL homie.

EDIT: Ah. Somehow the screen didn't update correctly for the sale. Now it says 75% off. Lol. About $7.50 per game. Now that is more like it!
Crysis: Maximum Edition for $9.99 is an excellent value.

I have the disc version of the two games, but I'll probably get the Maximum Edition through Steam so I don't have to rely on a questionable no-disc crack for convenient playback.
Heheh. I bought Maximum Edition twice just for that same reason. Now that it is $10, it's a no brainer.

I'll go ahead and vary from the group and say Crysis was not worth my $10. The multiplayer is terrible, and the single player was extremely bland for the hour that I spent on it. Maybe it gets better later? If a game isn't good in the first hour, it's not worth the effort.
I do think the Crysis games are overrated, but it is sometimes fun to move around and eliminate the opposition in different ways. I essentially approach the two games as I would with Garry's Mod.
Didimatic was showing Dead Space 1 for $5 & Dead Space 2 for $30 briefly before the Crysis sales. That may tip what's coming tomorrow as Valve may have briefly enabled the wrong sale. If so, I'm disappointed in the DS2 price, as the EA store has it on sale for $24 right now.
