Yes. Just fine. Complete with rumble, just like Fallout 3.

So I bought the $70 pack...amazing how many games go cheap on PC.

Anyways, Brink! What an incredibly amazing mess! I can't believe this thing made it out the door. There are so many other awesome games in the pack I don't care but it has very little that is appealing about it.

I'm tempted to pick the pack but I already played/owned Fallout 3. Just bought Oblivion 5th anniversary edition and my backlog is crazy. Nice price for all the games tho

I came home last night after having a couple drinks with friends. I watched the new Rage trailer and wondered to myself "How much it'll be on Steam?" And was simultaneously thinking "It's about time to pre-order Skyrim". So then I popped open Steam and bam! "Pre-order Skyrim and Rage, get this super mega pack of games for $40"!!" So $160 dollars later I think I doubled my library. And oddly enough the first thing I did was install/play Quake II. That game is still fun.

Looking at the receipt this morning, I'm feeling some buyers remorse. But what's done is done. Maybe it's time to spend another $1000, and build a new machine

Your purchase was EPIC, Sorax. Marafice and I have been giving you praise all weekend.

I blew through New Vegas. I really enjoyed it. I had tried to play it on the 360 last year but think I was burnt out on FO3. I beat the game and all the expansions.

This game felt briefer but the faction was a lot of fun. I decided to make my own way. If I didn't have Boon it might have taken longer. I'm going to break into the DLC tomorrow.

I'm thinking of buying Red Orchestra 2 for my brother for his birthday. Any have early impressions from the beta? Does it look to be good?
I'm a big fan of the original so I bought RO2 outright. Can't guarantee that you or your bro would like it. I haven't bothered with the beta at all. It does look to be good though.

Yeah. It was pretty buggy. Only played an hour or so with a brief amount of time in coop. I'll wait til they get it fixed this weekend or so they (devs) say.

Looked like the game would be a blast though. Hope they iron out the simple but glaring bugs and get this baby patched up.

I tried playing Dead Island last night myself. Apparently there is a bug in the game where if you have two or more monitors, the game won't always start. I hope they get the correct version of the game up soon.

Played Dead Island for about an hour and so far I would say don't waste your $.

Bought Dead Island from GMG and activated it on Steam. played for 2-3 hours last night coop. Had problem connecting at first (dropped 3-4 times) but after that, it was smooth sailing

No problem at all. The buggy version was only pfor eople buying it from Steam. My brother picked it up from D2D and had no problem, me from GMG no problem but one of his friend bought it from Steam and he said he was lagging bad and glitching...

Costed me 30$ also so I'd say, waste your money

The game looks to be a blast! Just hope they fix the Steam version soon enough.

It is. Had so much fun with my brother playing this last night. Was supposed to go to the gym but my brother called me to play coop. How can you pass on killing zombie coop

The proper Steam version should have gone live last night, I hear.

Dead Island looks interesting, but also looks like $20 to me. I'll wait a little bit on it. Does it have Steam achievements/Steamworks?

Ooh! Dead Island is Steamworks! That means we can watch Amazon Digital for a sale as well and just drop the key in to Steam like I did with Deus Ex. An extra place to watch for Steam sales is always a good thing.
Yup. It's got teh Steamwerks.

Amazon is awesome and so will this game, once it's all patched. James, I hear that the latest patch has not fixed much and that the full 'proper' game will be available by this Friday. I'm going to wait til then. I figure the more time to work on patches the better but I don't want to wait forever.
Dead Island seems like it'll be a great pickup a month from now, when it's patched up and a bit cheaper. Of course, at that time it'll be competing with a maddeningly long list of games for my attention. Either way I'll play it some day. Hopefully whenever I do, some of you guys will still be up for coop.

Scott, I'm looking forward to reading your post-patch impressions .
And I very much look forward to playing it again. Heheh. I didn't get to do a whole lot. Maybe played for a whole hour but from what I got to play, it has a sorta Borderlands feel to the coop play. I can't say much about the exploration or quests. I couldn't get a full sense of how big the world is. You start out inside a a hotel room and move your way through and out the lobby where you are confronted by zombies and then saved in a scripted event. When you gain control you are in a small hut with a half dozen people. You do get a chance to step outside and you are on the beach. This is where friends can jump in and my friend Dan joined up and we played for maybe 20-30mins just running up and down the beach beating the s**t out of zombies. All the weapons were objects found on the beach. You also get a 'duke foot' kick option to which is very useful. Worked for us. Kick, whack-whack-whack... head explodes, repeat.

As of right now I'd say this game has potential but it's early to say for sure. Also, this game is about 50% Dead Rising and 50% Borderlands from what I can tell. If any of you were not sure about what this game is like well ... there ya go.
The game is really fun. Me and my brother are around level 7. Just got vehicules... so fun ramming the zombies Got our first gun but needs level 10 to use it.

I agree with the 50% Borderlands, 50% Dead Rising. Also... like Fallout, there is alot of quests to do!

If you like those game, keep and eye for a sale to pick it up then

Is it that easy? You buy and just use the key on Steamworks instead? Dead Island is on sale right now at Amazon for $39.99 for the digital download. I'd buy it at that price if I can play it on Steam.

Cel, yes it is as easy as that. Don't download the game from Amazon; simply obtain the key and utilize it on Steam. It works quite well as DLJ has stated (I did the same thing for DX).

Duke Forever is $10 on Steam today. I'm tempted just to see how much of a trainwreck it really is.
I am hoping ppl buy it and more dedicated servers go up. P2P servers have horrible lag and huge advantage for the host. Still fun game to fire up when you need to kill some time and dont want too get to deep into a game. The way I look at it anyways

dnf is worth 10 bucks on pc for sure
