Same thing here. Didn't find anything I wanted on Steam today, but picked up Rock Band 3 On Demand version and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet on my 360.

Anything interesting on sale for PS3 that you liked?

I went to Ebgames to pick up the Resistance dual pack new for 10$ and Killzone 3 Helghast Edition for 20$

I'm gonna give the helmet and stuff to my brother for christmas, just wanted the game. My GF doesn't want me to keep the helmet in the living room nor my office

If you don't have Batman Arkham City already, highly recommended for $24.99. I'm actually tempted to pick up the DLC even ($10.96 for all). I wouldn't pay full price for it, as it's really just a couple of skins and a few characters and maps for the challenge mode, but at that price I might go for it.

I'll get it when the all-in-one pack comes out for $20.

Picked up Defense Grid Awakening last night and the DLC for 4$.

Got a gift last night... 33% off Codemaster's game

Wanted to pick it up due to Steam's image of the GTi drifting

With a name like Dashboard you should.

I'm having so much fun with the game I'm tempted to pick up the 360 Wireless Speed Wheel. It's a bit pricey but it seems perfect for games like Blur.

We should set up an online game or something.

There's the $15 Rage I was expecting during the sale. Now to decide if I really want it on PC, as it is runs so very well on the 360.

What about the Eyefinity? Widescreen Gaming Forum gave it a "Widescreen Gaming Certified" award. http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/rage/en Though it seems theres a few tweaks that need to be done to center the HUD. Not a real big deal. I believe amd fixed the graphic glitches in the last driver update. I will have to check if my 5850 will be ok, b4 giving them my money.

I just bought a house so my Eyefinity setup is down right now until I paint and finish the office. My PC is in the library right now with only a single monitor hooked up as a temporary solution.

I see. In that situation I would go for 360 ver too. lol Atleast you know it will run without issues. I will let you know how I make out with eyefinity, incase you or other members are curious. Oh I picked up Serious Sam 3 couple days ago..runs great in eyefinity and the game is good too.

There's some great sales going on today. I highly recommend the X3 franchise if you like open space combat sim games where you can build up yourself with ships and businesses.

UPDATE: I got Rage working in eyefinity with fix from WSGF. Game runs a solid 50-60 frames with no popin textures ppls were experincing at launch. Think 12.1 AMD preview drivers fixed those issues from what I read. Played some Skyrim also having a great time with that.

Bulletstorm and Bastion are $5. Also Sonic Generations is $10. I picked up all 3.

I'm tempted to buy 2 copies (Bastion) and send them to my brother and dad

Wow, really tempted by every modern PoP game for $17.50. (You can pick and choose, and the $7.50 Forgotten Sands includes the original Sands of Time as well).

I already played most of them on the Xbox or 360, but still.

Yep I saw that on Steam Forums and picked up another copy for my g/f to play with me. What started out as dull sales has really turned out to some amazing deals.

Serious Sam 3 is the best PC shooter I've played this year. Some modern FPS campaigns have a hundred or two enemies total for the entire game. This crazy release has individual levels with hundreds of enemies. It's a fantastic title even at full price.

I picked up Dead Space for 5 clams. I've seen it at this price a couple of times, but never jumped on it. I played this game about half way thru on the Xbox 360, but never did put it to bed. I'd really like to play Dead Space 2, but I have a compulsive need to finish Dead Space 1 all the way thru before I start playing the sequel. The sequel is only 5 bucks too, which is really tempting, but I figure no need to buy sequels until I put the first game to bed.

How do you get updates for games in steam? Is it automatic?

I think there is an option to keep games up to date automatically. I know mines auto-download the updates. Very useful.
I'll have to look at my account when I get home. I know batman AC came out with an update and was wondering if I have to manually do it or it's automatic
post #870 of 1331
It totally depends on the publisher. Some are good and provide Steam/Valve with the updates, in which case the game will update automatically. Some never give the updates though, in which case things get interesting. Sometimes you can download and apply the update manually. Sometimes it won't work at all. In your case, it's probably best just to check the Steam forum for Batman:AC and see if the question has been asked/answered there.
