NFL Preseason HD Games?

I know it is getting close, anyone have any news on what teams will be airing their games in HD this Pre-Season?

Wasn't every preseason game in HD last season?

I know NFLN aired all 65 games in HD.

They will do the same this year too.

I think they are all HD these days except for maybe a few local market type games but anything the networks do are in HD

NFL Network shows them all in HD. I'm a Redskins fan and locally they are only in HD on Comcast Sportsnet. The locals that get the syndicated feed only get it in SD.

The local games produced by the Cowboys were not in HD last season, but instead terrible widescreen SD. Fox's old digital widescreen would have been a major improvement as the actual broadcast looked like they zoomed a 16:9 letterboxed in 4:3 picture to fill the 16:9 screen. IIRC, NFL Network carried this feed for at least one of the games. The feed they got may have been 1080i, but it certainly looked to have been originated at 360i. Maybe they ran out of money after building Jerryworld.

Yes they were in 1080i. The 1080i feed was available to affiliates that had the capability to air them. Two years ago they were in 720p here in Albuquerque, last year they weren't (@#$%ing cheap ACME) However, someone on our local forum thread here posted he saw them in HD on C-band satellite and it looked great. So don't blame ole Jerry.

The 8/29 game against SF definitely wasn't anything close to HD. KTVT broadcast the game here in Dallas, and between them and their sister station KTXA they do just about everything in HD: local news, syndication, Rangers games, SEC Network games, and NFL Network games when they Cowboys are playing. A report in our local thread said KFXK in Tyler/Longview had the same terrible feed, and reportedly some no-name company was hired to produce the game. Unless I see some evidence to the contrary, I'm placing the blame squarely on the Cowboys for failing at that one.

Lions weren't aired in HD last season locally, I think they announced they will be this year.

Ugly is ugly, whether it be SD or HD...

I've already been counting down the days to Aug. 8th when the Cowboys play the Bengals in the Hall of Fame game. Football has been away to long and the games need to be started back up. I can't wait!

Yeah, I know... I do root for Detroit every Thanksgiving though and that might be a reason for my statement...

I can also say the same thing about the Deadskins 4-12 season last year.

Pretty sure the Cleveland Browns pre-season games are back on WKYC-3 (NBC affiliate) in HD this year.
