That's funny, I have a 3007 running that I am scared to turn off! I leave it running all the time since it started exhibiting HDMI issues when I would turn it off and turn it on again. Since leaving it running it has had no issues. I am looki g for a good deal on a 5009, 3010 or 5010, so it needs to last me until I get one, then I can get it repaired.
Yes leave it on ...it's turning it off that's the problem because you can't get it back on .
The on and off trying to get it back on only works for so long then it gets worst.
The only way around it when it gets that bad is to leave it on (Reciever to warm up)for a hour or more then go into settings 7 then 4 for HDMI and toggle
settings for TV speakers to on. Shut it off then back on.
When you get the TV speakers with audio working then you can safely change it back to TV speakers off then shut it off and on and then the audio comes back. It might take several tries but it works .
In your case by leaving it on is a good idea to keep your sound but it's doing more damage in the long run.
Usually once you have it working and the reciever has been running awhile there will be no problem getting
it running right back up if you do it right away. You wait 15 minutes between start ups..forget it .
If reciever kools down and you try to start it up again..forget it..you will not get any sound.
Before I left for work every morning I would turn it on to listen to news before leaving for work. I don't even bother now
because It won't work from a cold start up...never does.
When I come home first thing I do is turn on reciever and a hour or so later do my thing and hope it comes on. Now for me this fix doesn't work everytime
and sometimes it takes several hours. At first this fix work for a few minutes after starting up to now from 1 hour to several hours.
Getting to a point where it's going to be complete failure that's why I'm sending it in now.
