When "the problem" is in the TV you're connected to, it isn't going to be fixed with a receiver firmware update.
My Sony TV had no problem recognizing the RGB signal over HDMI.

Thanks for the replys. I have a samsung UN55B7100 and calibrated it with my eye 1 pro with calibration disks ran from my ps3, my concern is that the picture will "look" different when running through the RGB since i calibrated using the ps3 setup to output with YPbPr...Any opinions on this?

If the display is correctly set up to accept RGB-Video levels, it makes no difference at all. The display will convert RGB to 4:4:4 anyhow.

Still hasn't been fixed.

It's hard "to fix" something that isn't broken.
The chips [hardware] in the HR24-500 output RGB. If the TV knows what to do with an RGB signal, there's nothing to fix.
If the TV doesn't know what to do with an RGB signal, then the TV needs to be fixed.
