The Glades on A&E-HD

Not too bad, I'll give them credit for one thing, when they said limited commercial interruptions, that was for sure, only one 3 minute commercial break at or around the 38 minute mark and that was it.

I'll give it some time, if nothing else than to watch Kiele.

I was just coming to see if anyone watched it. It's on my DVR.

I liked it, will certainly watch again next week.

+1 I'll keep it as a series for now. You're right, Kiele is extremely attractive.

Cool I'm glad to see a few positive comments. I'm going to watch it tonight.

It wasn't great, but the bar was set pretty high after the watching a full season of Justified. I will watch it again.
Watched it last night. The lead is good, reminds me of Simon Baker in The Mentalist with his witty comments. Yes indeed Kiele is smoking attractive. I'm on board for at least another week.

One of the dumbest plots I have seen in a while. The writing on these summer cop shows is always going to be weak-----but really. There were three ridiculous examples I can list, but I don't want to "spoil" it for others.

I would rate JUSTFIED right up there with RESCUE ME.

Glad I watched the pilot. I dug it. What else has the lead guy been in?
It took me forever to remember where I had seen Kiele before. Then my mental block cleared and I wished it hadn't ... Lost.

Not a bad start but I can't see myself tuning in regularly. It's another new cop show during what seems to be "The Summer of Crime" on a channel that I wouldn't normally tune in to, so I'll easily forget it's on.

Making the main character's partner/chief the perp didn't do anything for me either. The show felt like it need that extra foil for him to play off.

Summer? More like year, or even decade. They just keep churning out these buddy cop crime procedurals like so much video sausage. They all follow virtually the same formula, and most seem to find success. Meanwhile, every complex serialized drama, especially if it's got a sci-fi element, crashes and burns. Crime, crime, all the time (with a smattering of doc/lawyer procedurals thrown in for "variety"). That seems to be the future of television.

Well said.

It's become especially prevalent during this summer, with even networks bringing new scripted cop shows to air like Rookie Blue and The Bridge. Glades is another crime drama on a channel that didn't actually make drama series before this.

Great episode and TPTB are fleshing out the characters more which is nice to see .. Hope A&E keeps this series around !
Definitely thought the 2nd episode was better than the first. So far so good.

The actress who played the ornithologist in the bikini also played the psychopathic patient on House. She's pretty good. Too bad she's not a recurring character!

Anyone else think that on occasion Matt Passmore's facial expression and voice sounds similar to Brendan Fraser.
I think Matt Passmore is doing great playing Jim . While some hate his snarkiness I am lovin' it LOL !!
Like his scenes with everyone on the show especially Callie, Jeff, and Carlos !

IT'S THE ONLY REASON to watch this show...

I'm not sure about that, Ray being a badass that is. I think she's starting to develop feelings for Jim and she has always intended to stick it out with Ray and now she's getting torn. Hubbie is in jail for for being a thief, not sure if it was armed robbery or not, don't think we've got into that much detail(at least I don't remember it). He may be a bad ass, but I didn't get that from the scene tonight.

Maybe it's because I live in FL and have experienced a few hurricanes. I thought last night's episode was pretty good.

Great insight rebkell and you could be right. If this is the case it sets up one very complicated and interesting triangle story arc .

She was also in 'A Perfect Getaway' with Justified's Tim Olyphant.

Finally an episode where guest star Garret Dillahunt is not the criminal.

Yep, she was and I thought she and Olyphant were a great couple in the movie. She's one of the main reasons I tuned into 'The Glades'. And if VisionOn has a problem with an actress then it's almost like a seal of approval to me.

Kiele was also on a WB show a few years back(Related), about 4 sisters that had her, Jennifer Esposito, Lizzy Caplan and Laura Breckenridge as the Sorelli sisters, it was a decent show.

How is this show doing for rating and demos? Somebody said it did drop from the second to the third episode which is a shame since it has great potential- how does A&E determine their shows worth ?
