ADA mach IV details ??

I have heard so many good things about ADA on this forum...and their most recent Rhapsody Mach 4, but havent seen any details about their audio processing? what DAc's they use? Is it true balanced design for the balanced version etc etc? May be Richard can chime in. What makes it so much better than other processors.. I am in no way questioning that fact ...just want some more details as it is on my short list for my new theater. Leaving aside 2 sub crossovers -- one for DSP and one for analog domain ...can some one shed more light on the features/superior audio processing of ADA?

Thanks
Mani

I haven't seen anyone, anywhere make the claim that it is so much better than other processors .... in fact, it almost certainly isn't! What it does seem to offer is a pretty nice feature set for a relatively reasonable price.

If one accepts that processors like the Krell and Meridian offer pinacle performance for a pinacle price (both in the $30K range) then even if the ADA is even close, at $7K (?) it would appear to be quite a deal.

Does anyone have actual hands-on experience with it?

Here are comments on the ADA Suite 7.1 (lower priced version but similar sonics). User comments look pretty strong. Along with an array of Aerial Acoustics speakers, ADA is the reference processor for a TLC program on reference HTs. The fact is the design is new and not dated like the old Meridian (and others) or a bit bloated on the price side like the Krell..

I'll have mine soon and see if it cuts it!!

Well, there is a new Meridian 861 design, but it carries a simlarly 'bloated' price as the Krell

Hi Guys,

I have an obvious bias in that my company is the European distributors for ADA but there are two consistent points that people always love about the new processors.

1. Sound Quality. Detailed and clean without any element of brightness or listening fatigue.

2. Flexibility of Setup. Quite literally, how do you want it?

I am lucky enough to have dealt with systems using many of the competitor high end products including one with the Krell and I have yet to experience a system where I didn't feel the ADA wouldn't have improved things.

At the price this is simply a steal. As a forthcoming user review over here in the UK states, the money is spent on making it sound great not making it look great.

Price aside, the new 861v6 is by far the best sounding processor on the market. I'd be surprised if any other company catches up in the next five years.

Considering the price, the ADA is a fantastic performer as well.

I don't doubt that you are corect, however, as a Meridian 861v6 owner also, I've not heard all of the contenders so cannot make such a blanket statement myself.

If Richard is viewing, when can we expect the "Trinnov" function set up and working on the cinema Rhapsody.
