Lethal Weapon Collection (UK) 11/15 - Page 3

I personally think the DCs are a nice addition, but the theatrical versions are quite perfect in their flow and pacing. Besides, in LW1 the alternate introduction by Riggs spoils the fact that he's a cop too early.

I'm guessing these are going to be region free?
Warner is always region free
This set is sounding pretty darned good. I hope we get new transfers though, as the existing ones for LW1 and LW2 are obviously old, and deeply flawed in the case of the latter.
At this stage I can't see Warner simply recycling the old transfers for 1 and 2 since when they brought Caddy Shack to blu this year it was an all new transfer, a great one at that. Man I am so excited for this set been waiting for these for years. It'll be worth the wait as long as these transfers look great which I have feel they will

Was the BD for LW2 not the directors cut? if it was then this would be new

Nope, theatrical cut. And I know Warners redid Caddyshack (to lovely effect IMO) but they haven't touched many others, and of course there's the speculation that The Perfect Storm was simply reprocessed to remove the jaggies.

So are these the director's cuts? I must have missed where they said that.

Geoff,

I think recently Warner has been stepping it up with quality. There are a few bad ones here and there but a lot of their newer releases have been great. And seeing as how Donner is doing commentaries then I'm sure these are new transfers he's probably even approved. Again this is all speculation these could turn out to be old DVD transfers from 1998 but I'm staying positive.
I wish they would be! There really is no reason they shouldn't due to seamless branching. They can have both cuts and let the consumer decide! Warner has used seamless branching on other bluray titles before like Blade Runner.

Mine just got cancelled from HMV
Same here, and their price for the set is up to 33.99 EUR. The douchebags don't have the balls to honor the price if they screw up like Amazon does.

That's messed up.

This is why I'd take a bullet for Amazon.

Saw that this had dropped in my Amazon UK basket and finally ordered it. Seems like a good price in case anyone else is interested.
