Better speaker choice? Paradigm Signature s8 ver.1, or Studio 100 ver.5?

Performance wise, which is better? Can get Signature s8 ver.1 about same price as Studio 100 ver.5. Anyone compared S8 ver.1 to Studio 100 ver. 5. Need your advice, and ears. Have a pair of Studio 20's, version 5. I like them. Haven't heard the Signature series. The dealer has the s8,c5 version 1. They don't have the Studio 60, or 100. Can't even a and b them, to the studio 60, or 100. Any major sound differences between the s8 ver.1 and 100 ver.5? Hope you can help.

It appears to me that the S8 is a much better speaker on paper. It uses more advanced drivers than the Studio 100s. If you are using your S20s for rears it should be close enough in sound to blend nicely. If you don't listen to a bunch of 5.1 music, you should be fine.

I would go with the higher end S8s! Hopefully a few members can chime in who have compared the two and give you their thoughts on the topic.

Sigs all the way, I am a fanboy but no question they are much more composed with heavier duty drivers even on version 1. Still have my Rosewood S4's paired with .v4 ADP-590 for surrounds, which blend more then adequately.... system still sounds fantastic - F112 for support, still quite amazes me on a timely basis. This system always sounded better, cleaner & louder then the Main system with Studio 100's as mains. Until I got the new S8's to replace it...
