I'm waiting for my new XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro to arrive.
I have a few questions.
To start off, I have a rotel rsp-1572 processor that has a 10 band parametric eq.
Also have the awesome Neptune 30 band eq divice.
- with the suggestions that xtz will give for auto eq values, would I get better results using only rotels parametric eq? Or dont use it and only user Neptune?
- can I take the suggested eq values from xtz and use them in the Neptune without using the Q values as Neptune is just an eq..
for Mic aiming.
- with the xtz auto eq, should Mic be pointed to celing or towards each speaker?
I want the best eq measurement that will give me crisp and lively sound for my dead room I have. So if aiming to ceiling will make auto eq suggest higher treble suggestions maybe this is good?
I noticed that almost every mic Arturo system has Mic aiming to ceiling..
The auto eq curve....
What is xtz auto suggestions trying to active?
Is it trying to get a flat rresponse or just getting to get rid of room nodes?
I want to achieve a flat response. Unless just removing nodes is better route?
I like the Neptune auto eq it does but feel I will do better with the xtz auto suggestions.
Thanks for any suggestions..
