Well figure they only had a short time to introduce the major players and plot lines. IMO for the time frame they had it was very well done. I dont think anyone is going to make a long intro form show unless there are some major changes in the industry. What we saw was about as dragged out as you are going to get
without loosing a major portion of the viewers getting border with the slow intros, ect.
Its always interesting when getting a show\\movie from a book, as on video they are under much tighter contraints to tell the story. Even in real life interviews with media its the same. I remember meeting someone "famous" once in a relaxed seetting, mentioning they just had an interview about them done and finding that a 2 hour interview was cut down to about half a page.
