It's absolutely a DirecTV "problem." We don't get Starz On Demand in HD, (much like we don't get HD versions of other channels On Demand). Hope they fix that sooner than later.
The missing two minutes at the end of the episode (I believe #3) that was tagged as only being 50 minutes were great - I was glad to have On Demand at all so we could download the episode and see what we missed.
I'll miss this show... there are some great actors here giving good performances, but something is just off with the production. Granted, it is likely impossible to get the pacing right considering the source material is a book. The way the younger actors were "aged" for the four year gap between the last two episodes was hilarious: the women wore makeup and eye shadow, while the men got a bit tanner. Again, probably no easy solution there either, but it was funny.
Having not read the book and even knowing if this would be possible, I would have loved to see the story drawn out over more episodes.
