Die Hard 5: One death too many

It looks like we're getting DH5. Doesn't anyone have new ideas anymore? It also seems Willis wants to do a sequel to Unbreakable, although M. Knight isn't quite on board with that yet.

"Live Free" was more fun than "Die Harder" or "With a Vengeance," IMHO. But the well does seem tapped fairly dry...

Unbreakable is perfect as is; no pre/seq needed. And Die Hard has been overly done to death, about 2X too many..

Live Free or Die Hard was better than it had any right to be. I'm up for another one.

I have never been convinced a sequel for Die Hard ever was needed, a completely self-contained story IMO.

Oh well, the sequels do have their moments....
DH4 was easily the worst of the bunch.

I am a big fan of Die Hard and Die Hard with a Vengeance. The third film receives a lot of flack, but it added different elements to the series while containing some quintessential Die Hard-esque moments. It helps that John McTiernan didn't use the laughable Chinese rocket launcher ending.

Die Hard 2 is a movie that I never really found all too entertaining, and I think Live Free or Die Hard is ho-hum and doesn't lend itself very well to repeat viewings. So, judging by this pattern, maybe I'll like the fifth entry.

these are easy $20m paydays for willis...no wonder he wants to make sequels.

The first Die Hard was a great movie that all the studios began to copy (Under Siege, etc). The second and third movies were all good pop-corn movies and Willis is great at what he does, really underrated at what he does. DH4 was much better than most would have expected and stands along DH1 as the best in the series. You get some great action scenes and two super hot women so what's not to like!

That means it has potential to be really good.

Agree - DH2 is my least fav of the seqs. The 3rd had Jeremy Irons, so I give it a 'Guilty Pleasure' mark. What can I say, after Reversal Of Fortune I'll pass anything he's in for a moment

I feel this way with movies and videogames...IF they are good. IF the actors like to make them. AND if they stay true...MAKE THEM BY THE 100s for all I care.

Whats the big deal? I mean how many movies have been done that mimic all the greats? WHy not just have the greats do them?

The sequels have their moments, but DH1 is more filling (IMO).

No joke! We need a few more MFers for it to really be Die Hard.

It was interesting to see the 4th movie vs. the 1st movie. Action movie pacing has changed so much over 20 years.

In this movie he'll be fighting for his Viagra, hence the title.

I actually like Die Hard 2. I like the "wait, who is tha bad guys?" moments where they try to do a classic double cross. I really hated the the silly "not again" moments, not that they happened but because the characters in the film mention them.

What I dislike about DH3 was the length, about the same length as the first, it just felt way too long for an action movie.

I'll pass the same way I passed on Harrison Ford in the last Indiana Jones movie. Any boxer will tell you there's a time to hang up the gloves. The same can be said for movies. Look, I like the "Die Hard" franchise as much as the next time but you just know the "booms" will have to be bigger and badder to cover up the sound of Bruce's bones creaking.

Trailer looks fun to me. And he's only in his late 50s right? Bones creaking?? Maybe not quite yet..
