Like when McLane and that other dude had a fistfight on the wing of a passenger jet as it taxied toward takeoff? Totally believable!
Or how McLane ran across the broken glass in his bare feet, yet having his feet shredded to ribbons only bothered him for a few minutes before he forgot all about it? That happens to me all the time!
How about the time all the guys threw hand grenades into the cockpit of the plane, and McLane had enough time to run to the seat, strap himself in, and eject to a safe distance before any of them went off? 100% scientifically accurate!

Im not sure there was much of any cgi in the first 3 which is what made them so good.
There wasn't much CGI in them because there
wasn't CGI at the time they were made. They did, however, use every other special effects technique available at the time.
