VUDU 3D channel on PS3.
Quality is up to 1080P with DD5.1 Picture and sound quality is excellent. There are the usual 3D feature movies, plus 2 documentaries. There is even a (FREE) preview of Tron: Legacy. All the rentals have a 2 minute preview for free.

I wouldn't normally take the time to write a complaint about a cable provider - but I just had to with ATT UVerse. One of the main reasons I signed up for Uverse was because they claimed all along, since the first talk of 3D, that they would carry 3D programming. As soon as ESPN3D launched and UVerse picked them up, I purhcased my first 3D Television and subscribed (though I was aggrivated they actually charged) their 3D bundle - which of course only included ESPN3D.

This was quality sports entertainment in 3D and my family really enjoyed it. From what I have gathered ATT Uverse was the only provider to charge extra for 3D programming, so you can see why customers were not pouring in to upgrade. Regardless, the quality was great and if you haven't watched the X Games in 3D, you are missing out.

So my boys and I are sitting down on the couch ready to watch the final day of XGames 17 on July 31st...we've got our popcorn all set - turn the TV to 3D and the cable box to ESPN3D and BAM! "As of July 31, 2011 UVerse no longer carries ESPN3D" Furious does not describe my emotion the minute I saw that message. No warning, no poll to see if viewers would be disappointed if ESPN3D went away....just BAM! Considering I purchased my TV (my HD TV was perfectly fine) based on the fact that 3D programming would be available on UVerse, I think I had the right ot be angry.

So - a call will be in to directTV shortly and ATT will lose a bundle customer because of their worry about people not paying $10 for what other cable companies don't charge at all.

ESPN 3D has been missing from my DirecTV line-up for a couple days. I don't know if it is permanent or temporary. Of course, I couldn't watch it anyway since DTV broadcasts ESPN 3D in the optional 720p SbS format.

Might want to try it again, rumor was they would change to 1920x1080/60i and my Samsung today is saying that's what ESPN 3D is via DIRECTV today.

Does DirecTV offer ESPN3D in Top/Bottom or Side-By-Side mode? 1080i 3D streams are always offered in Side-By-Side mode since it preserves the quality better than Top-Bottom. 720p is offered typically as Top-Bottom.

I am on Comcast and ESPN3D is offered in 720p and Top-Bottom.

UFC 143 PPV in 3D will be available Saturday Feb 4 2012 across many providers, including Cox, Comcast and DirecTV for $64.99. Also available live in theaters for $25 per ticket.
