Harman Kardon vs Onkyo at Best Buy

Hello, nb here. I'm trying to decide what to do and I have a few options, kinda. My first receiver was a Onkyo TX DS838, great receiver, not too user friendly but maybe thats just me. Last year I purchased a Harman Kardon AVR 254 from Best Buy. A few weeks ago the sound went out, it is still under the 2 year HK warranty, however Best Buy said they would not send it out to HK for an exchange but instead they would just let me pick out a new one. of course Best Buy does not carry HK anymore. I do have the option to send it to HK myself for an exchange if I pay shipping. The slim picking that Best Buy offers that I would even consider are Onkyo TX SR608, TX-NR3007, TX-SR508, TX-SR308. Best Buy of course has Sony, Pioneer Elite, Yamaha, which none of them I have even been a fan of. Best Buy however did tell me that instead of just giving me credit for what I paid, they would allow me to pick out a new receiver with similar specs. I loved the HK because of the simplicty of use really. Any two cents would greatly appreciated.

You might want to post this in the receiver subforum - you'll generally get more useful feedback that way.
