Hiya,
I can get both of these locally for @ same $ +- 25. Looking for opinions.
Blast from the past, but I am bottom fishing to get a 2nd AVR. I am taking new rx-v 567 back to store as I don't like sound compared to old rx-v450 it was to replace. Go figure.
Can make do with digital optical or coax, or let Pioneer BD-51 output analog. NOTE the specs for the rx-v 657 say that it does "analog downmix" does that mean that it down mixes analog inputs to analog outputs? Both Yamahas are well spoken of here, I'm just looking for better understanding of the relative qualities of the two.
Be on a one wall 3.1 Paradigm set-up. Open room with wood floors and minimal furniture, speakers facing very large fabric covered windows 18ft away. Vaulted ceilings coming down from 22ft to 9ft at windows.
Thanks all,
Mike K
