If someone has the files, i would like to try it out on popbox.

Doesn't work on popbox I already tried

1) It's weird people are complaining about TV antennas, which were used for generations of viewers and exist on most homes today, albeit unused.

2) I moved into the "you can't cancel" state with Amazon, but got no tracking number or ship confirm, so I'm guessing it's not coming tomorrow and still shows Nov. 12. Jealous of those of you with shipping info.

UPDATE: Just got an e-mail from Amazon. And my box is in transit to Fed Ex, arriving tomorrow.

Doesn't the C200 work with forced subtitles?
I know one of the test MKVs I created from Avatar using MakeMKV works with my C200.
The subtitles automatically appear with no interaction from me for the Na'vi language when I play it with my C200.

I've run into a handful of people that are actually amazed that you can receive TV from an antenna without cable TV. But the really surprising thing was that these were not young people but people in their late 40's and 50's. People that I would have expected to have grown up with TV using an antenna.

I'm in my mid 40's and I remember ifrom the early 70's to the late 70's my Dad would always have either me or my brother go outside to rotate the antenna for him. There were a pair of vice grips on the pole and pieces of tape that marked the location to get the Washington DC stations and the Baltimore stations. So we would rotate it toward whatever city we wnated to watch programming from. Our neighborhood didn't get cable TV until 1980.

I ordered back on September 10 with Amazon Prime one day shipping and mine still says shipping soon. Starting to wonder if it's shipping to me today.

Just got an email from Amazon saying my Boxee Box shipped! I ordered 1-day shipping. So i guess I'll be getting it tomorrow!

What is forced subtitles? and why is this important?

PS: I do like subtitles as my hearing is not as good as it used to be.

A movie like avatar where there are scenes when a non primary language is spoken ( ie when the smurfs talk)

Also adding that mine shipped with delivery for tomorrow. Can't wait!

Just returned from a visit to my friendly FS.

Well it matters zero to the majority of markets, ie those outside the US where Netflix is not available at all. On the other hand all I've read about Netflix says they want to be available on everything. So it seems likely it would appear for the US citizens soon or later.

Well, that other people do amoral things doesn't mean everybody else has to do it. That would be a big problem if they started doing that (unless they pay me for it).

Do you think the Box will play back the formats as the PC version does equally well? Supported formats

1. It sort of ruins of having an internet device.
2. What if they snuck some adds in before you did that

I searched high and low. What's the word about Boxee Box supporting UPNP or DLNA? It would suck to have a box that only services one room in the house.

That's what things mostly cost in Europe. In comparison america gets things dirt cheap. Revue is 299? Europe should be so lucky.

Mehhh, Not much in that vid that wasnt already known. The software still looked like the Beta version. so it didnt give much info. To tell the truth there are a number of videos just like it from others that were at CES, the only real difference was this was an in house video.

BTW for those that missed it:

It's pr for a video to go up for a number of hours and then mysteriously disappear later on in the day. Apple are the kings of it...

No need to apologize, Ac3 is a "standard" and I wouldnt expect any problems, I dont think you should see any issues with aac 5.1 either. PCM was anwsered in the 1st post. The ones you would have to worry the most about are the HD formats and the obscure codecs (both video and audio). This is just MOHO though we wont know the true answers until tomorrow.
