Hmm this is in stock at my local Futureshop 5 minutes from work.
I already have Boxee on my hacked 1st generation Apple TV. I like it for the most part but so much of it does not work in Canada. On my main TV I run Plex on an older Macbook Pro using VGA to my Pioneer 5080HD and optical to my RX-V3900 Yamaha receiver.

What to do what to do.....

Do what i do.. get a vpn service for $40/year and then you'll have access to all the USA only content, plus our Canadian content.

For the Boxee Beta there were a few choices, but I dont think anything has been ported to work with the Boxee Box as of yet. At least it hasnt been announced to work with it.

Well, that's not necessarily how things work. My initial reply was meant to be rhetorical since it's been discussed back and forth throughout this thread.

I use Witopia PPTP.
The reason i use them, is because I can run it on my d-link 655 so all my devices are on the vpn. I tried strongvpn but i was never able to get it to run on my router.
The reason i use it on my router is for my PS3, it allows me to get Netflix USA, and if i connect to a witopia UK server i can get Vidzone (music videos) on the PS3 also.

It has been and continues to be available for the downloaded software version for PCs and Macs... nothing new there, sorry...

That link is for building your own boxee. Not boxee box. However the screenshot looks different from shipping boxee, so maybe thats 1.0.
