Soundstage speakers?? Has anybody heard of/used these?

I had an infinity primus setup, but returned it because it failed to live up to expectations. This is nothing against infinity, maybe I just had deficient speakers. And yes, I tried many different configurations, settings, even different receivers, but still got the same result - incredibly BRIGHT sound :s.
So I was looking around at my local Visions store (Canada only), and a rep offered me a great deal on this Soundstage setup:
3D5 Towers, 3DC centre, BFX12 subwoofer, and 3D2 shelfs.
They sounded flat out spectacular when
I tested them. I just dont want the same thing happening with the infinitys: good store sound, horrible at home. So, has anybody had a extended experience with these speakers?

The tech shown on the site looks pretty standard (which is good), except for this rear mounted "3d" driver and a titanium (!?) tweeter. I'm no acoustical engineer, but judging by the sound quality these features are also good.

Specs are, typically, lame.

Frequency Response: 55Hz-20kHz +/-??dB and at what power level?

yes specs are lame, but by "tech" i meant cabinet and driver construction, which seems pretty standard, except for the titanium tweeter and rear "3d" driver. Would a titanium (rigid or metal, to be more general) tweeter be good or bad in the long run? I'm only asking because many speakers I've seen have soft dome tweeters.

"Tech" is apparent and superficial. It is what they do with it.

Exactly and when I auditioned them they sounded as good as my polks for movies, and even better with music. I guess I'll pick them up soon and take advantage of the 30 day return policy. I'll also post a detailed review because there is practically nothing on the internet about these speakers.

avoid soundstage! to me its "precision acoustics" with a heavier price tag. one telling piece of evidence is the subs from either brand. Go onto the BB website, and look at the sub from precision acoustics. Its a near twin of the soundstage bfx series sub. The tower and bookshelf speakers also have eerily similar designs to soundstage. As for sound quality, the only difference was that the soundstages had better bass handling (def not worth the huge price difference). Don't get fooled by the praise from the visions rep. Before I even opened my mouth to say Polk Audio, I was shown these. Weird, eh? Especially since they can really move around the prices.

I just so happen to work A/V at a Visions Electronics. I demo them with my Lucasfilm THX and 5.1 DTS music discs and they sound excellent. I actually don't know anywhere else that sells Soundstage. They are brilliant speakers, but not for retail price. So if you're going to buy, you'll likely get a better price on Soundstage.

And you are right, I will play Soundstage nearly every time, perhaps even too soon. I'll keep your comment in mind, I'm not the one buying them, and Polk is great.

I have got a pair of soundstage 3020 3d bookshelf for about 3 months now and they sound really good, nice crisp detailed sound well worth the money.

FWIW, Infinity, Soundstage and Precision Acoustics are all under Erikson Consumer which is under JAM industries. HK and JBL is also part of that group.

That's just their Canadian distributor. HK, JBL and Infinity are all MADE and brands own by Harman International. I don't think they have anything to do with the Soundstage brand.
