Doesn't get much browner than this current Dennis Erskine project:

You will have to wait to see the carpet picked out by the interior designer.

There are some brown theaters in the "show Us your color scheme" thread:

I ended up going with an ICI paint color called "Stewart House Brown" in my little room. (nothing compared to any of the other rooms on here)

It's much darker than this in person but I probably would have gone flat instead of eggshell on the sheen.

I wrote a little blog on picking paint colors if you're interested.

The problem with flat paint is that if you rub up against it, it leaves a mark that doesn't come off (it changes the sheen). Then you have to repaint that area. With eggshell, you can wipe it off by washing the area gently. You rarely have to repaint an area unless it's a significant mark.

I doubt I'd use a flat paint in a room where people could be walking around in the darkness and putting their hands on the walls to find their way around. Those walls would be marked up in no time.

Harsh!

Apparently its not brown....well not entirely - that said I think it looks good. The carpet will make or break it

Click on my signature. Small 12x15 theater, but very cozy. I used a brown fabric with a lower black fabric. Ceiling is flat black.

Cathan used browns in his theater and it looks wonderful. Check out his thread here:

I'm also doing various shades of brown in my build (see page 11). The walls (darker area) have a faux leather technique. You can see the lighter first coat on the wall in the middle between columns. I didn't paint that area as I will have GOM Poppy colored acoustic panels between the columns with some wall reveal around those.

My room is primarily a dark olive color, but I have a brown ceiling, brown carpet, brownish trim and brown couches.

We went all brown too, and we love it. Here are a couple of not so great pictures (see my sig for more in the thread)...

I don't remember the brand, but I think one of the colors was called Bison Brown. Don't recall if that was the walls or the ceiling. (wow, I'm a lot of help, huh?) Probably doesn't matter 'cause you can barely tell the difference between them. I do wish the ceiling was a bit darker, or at least enough to see the difference.

....for acoustical fabric I used GOM Anchorage Coffee Bean. Its a very rich, deep dark brown solid with woven texture.

My theater has brown GOM below the oak chair rail. And when I can afford the seating they will be brown leather!
