Yes, the 8nnn and 9nnn series traditionally have included features which appeal to the "warm fuzzies" in us
Like gold plated RCA connectors, oversized power supplies, copper plated chassis, multiple XLR connections, and the like. It's unlikely that many of those features will actually make any difference in the quality of the audio that the units produce, but they won't hurt the audio, either.
Unfortunately, however, at this point we only have rumors about what those features might be. Features mentioned at trade shows might never make it into production. We have to be patient and wait for official Marantz publications and, better yet, for technical reviews with bench tests.
