I have to admit that attempting to figure out how I can configure this with external amplifiers is beginning to get the best of me.
Consider this rear shot of the 3000 when considering the following, which is admittedly tedious...http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/p...4&CTID=5069422
First: it appears Zone 3 and REAR presence share the same pre-outs. Great, this means I cannot have a Zone 3 if I also want/need to pre-out REAR presence speakers?
Second: Front and Front presence speakers ALSO share the identical pre's. Again, I'm assuming I cannot pre-out all four now?
Third: I still have yet to unearth a config within the manual that would allow me to "pre-out" a traditional 7 channel array and power the (4) presence speakers internally (or pre-out the 11 and power the 2 zones internally, while not ideal, is workable). This would (hopefully) seemingly solve my pre-out problem and allow me to kick out zones 2 and 3 to an external amplifier. I need two other zones.
I say hopefully above because older (last 2-3 years even) Denon models would NOT let you run a 7 channel config off an external amplifier and use the internal amps for the other zones. Now thankfully you can with there amp config versatility.
I know this may seem a bit comoplicated to some, but I'm certain I'm not the only one whow wants to do this.
thanks for the time and insight...hopefully on the latter!!!
