Sanyo DP42840 Good or Bad?

I had to make an emergency TV purchase late Friday night (wife's cooking shows are on early Saturday morning). My local Walmart had only 1 42" LCD TV in stock the Sanyo DP42840. This is replacing an old Polaroid FLM3232 that died Friday afternoon. The Sanyo seems like a decent TV are there any horror stories about this set? Is it a decent bedroom set ? Main uses are Cable TV, HTPC use (DVD,Blu-ray, XBMC) and the occasional game of Wii Bowling. I can return it if I have to and look for something else, but for the price it seems ok. Any options?
Thanks Steved

If you were using a Polaroid previously, I am sure the Sanyo will be fine.

Thank you so much for the condescending answer. Can anyone give me some helpful advice on this TV?
Thanks.

I got my Sanyo 42" LCD Model DP42840 in October of 2010, at WalMart.

After using the set for about a year and a half, the set would sometimes turn off on it's own.

I thought it was a power supply board problem.

What I would suggest to anyone, is that if your Sanyo starts doing that, or anything strange, it could be the settings.....

I would suggest doing a factory reset, by pressing the reset button on the Sanyo remote twice.

Then just follow the prompts.

I replaced my power supply board (both of which were made by Sanyo), and did the Factory reset. And, all appears well now.

What I don't know is maybe, if I had done the Factory Reset before I put the new Power Supply board in, that that might have cleared up the problem.....

Live and Learn, I say.
