Sweet! When's my copy being shipped?

Sell the Robin DLC. It's just an early availability code and you can sell it for more than it's worth.

When you send me $45 it will be in the mail that day

I played for a few hours last night and barely scratched the surface of this game. Something tells me this may take a long time to complete. The city seems HUGE at the moment and I am only 2% complete at this point.

Graphics, style, look are the same as AA. Mechanics are the same also. Challenges appear to be quite numerous and well ... challenging. I may never complete them all (didn't on AA either).

I am not going to gush about anything yet until I have some more time in the game but so far it seems pretty darn good.

ok, here is my very rough review (only played for about 2 hours)...
1. to sum this game up (it is tough to explain until you play it) in one word, epic... i mean the story, the size of the city, what is going on, it all has an epic feel.
2. so far reminds me of some other good sequels, uncharted 2, infamous 2, basically they stuck with the same formula, but made it bigger, with some good improvements, but didn't mess with what made it great...
3. there is a TON to do, i mean already i have a ton or optional missions, optional training, trophies, etc... if you want this game can keep you going for a long time..
4. if you liked the first one, then you will like this one, very solid game (thus far).

The AR challenges where you have to dive and then fly low through tight spaces are frakking hard. Must have taken half an hour on the one like that over the water before I pulled it off.

Seems like fighting as Catwoman is easier - faster and greater range - except her ground finishers are slower.

i completed the 1st ar challenge where i got the upgrade to the grappel gun, does completing the other ar challenges give you anything?

I haven't played yet, but read on Kotaku that it's well worth it to do the first 4 challenges right away as the reward for the 4th makes everything else in the game easier.
So, do you start off with all the upgrades from the first game or do you have to unlock all of them from the first game to be able to use them in this game?
You start with the grapple, batarang, explosive gel, and batclaw.

That fourth one is the final one of the first set - which then unlocks the grapnel boost he was talking about.

I have a question about the Catwoman code.

According to this artice: "The Catwoman code allows players to assume the role of Catwoman at points throughout the game. It alters the beginning of the game and has the potential to add a lot to the experience."

I started playing the game as the code was downloading, so it wasn't active for the first bit during credits. Now I'm worried I missed something important by not having the code in right at the beginning.

Can anyone fill me in as to what I might have missed at the beginning if the Catwoman code wasn't active please? [ Spoiler tags ] are probably a good idea. THANKS!

I did that exact same thing, and have the same exact question.

If you have the Catwoman DLC downloaded, the game starts with Catwoman breaking in to Two Face's lair to steal a memory card. First she beats down a bunch of mooks then gets the card (i.e. we get to play as Catwoman for thi fight); we see a quick building schematic and then Two-Face apprehends her. The game then starts in earnest.

Side-quests for Catwoman presumably pop up after that point from time to time with her side story. I've only played for about an hour, so that's all I can tell you.

Thanks WizarDru! That explains what I missed, so I think I might start my game over again. I'm glad I didn't make it very far in!

I can't believe they couldn't be bothered to include a game manual?! Are the controls that intuitive? Is there at least a downloadable version online somewhere?

Has anyone tried the Robin DLC? I saw it on eBay for like 20$ is it worth it as one can't buy it off the marketplace apparently?

From the main menu you can select to play the first Catwoman mission that you missed.

The sticker on the box says it is just a code for early access, I imagine it will cost $10 or so when it becomes available for general purchase - I sold my code for $26

My Catwoman DLC finished downloading while I was either watching the first cutscene or just starting to play, I don't exactly remember. But the game told me the DLC finished and it sent me back to the menu without any choice. I started the game over and it put me in as catwoman after the opening cutscene.

Does this game have the same beat'em up/training horde type mode the first one had where you can practice stringing combos together on different maps for time/score? I only played for about 15 minutes last night. Timing counters on hard against large groups of opponents is...well, hard! I remember that mode was great for practicing takedowns too.

I like it..its just challenge maps like Batman's- except Robin has different weapons and moves.

Robin fights (and controls) very well too.

Those are the Challenge Maps, I believe. The Nightwing and Robin DLC packs all add additional challenge maps and a new character. The Joker's Carnival DLC just adds a new map. If Nightwing and Robin play as differently as Catwoman does from Batman, that'll be worth the money for me.

The Nightwing and Robin DLC doesn't actually unlock until November, when it becomes commercially available.

So it is out already?!
The other person here is saying it doesn't come out till November?

Well I went ahead and ordered up the game. I did not play the first one but everyone seems to really like both so I figured I would give it a try. Lots of good games heading down the pipeline so I am not sure where I will find time for all of them.

It becomes available for purchase in November, the codes gave early access to it.

I don't what it means, but the amount of characters that have blue eyes in this world is overwhelming...
