Hi All:

Just finished this latest build and I figured I'd share with you all. Seas excel woofs and prestige tweets. I used Coyote wood for the front baffle, and premium South American Rosewood for the veneer. I think they came out pretty good. Have just started breaking them in, but so far... Sounds AWESOME!

Cheers,

VERY nice looking! Is this a existing design or did you design the crossover yourself?

Hi James, thanks... Nope, the design is an original. I haven't had a chance to put them through the audio tests yet, but at first listen of some test CDs, I'm very happy with how they sound.

Very nice, two thumbs up on that one.

Gorgeous finish.

hey foam, welcome to avs and thanks for sharing your build.

your creations are among some of the best looking speakers around here. i don't suppose that you took pics along the way and could create a build thread?

you must share some of the details. what wood, stain, finish, techniques, mistakes, lessons learned, etc.?

WoW! they look like you just bought them out off a shop. Brilliant work.

As a matter of fact LTD.... I did! I have a lot of them on my phone, so it will take some time to get everything together and in order, but I'd be honored since there's an interest.

As far as a "Build thread" is concerned, is that just creating a new thread specifically about the build details (sorry, I'm new around here).

You can just post all pics and details in this thread.

Incredible speakers!!

i know it is a bit of a pain, but posting your pics, sharing your experiences, etc. is what makes this place work.

build threads take all forms, but ideally start off with the performance goal, then list the components, then show the process, and wrap it up with some measurements and some commentary about lessons learned/mistakes made/thing that might be done differently in the future.

most build threads have lots of sidebar conversations going along, so don't worry if that happens.

personally, i can't wait to see what you've got and what you learned along the way.

I am wondering how you attached the front baffles since they do appear to be a separate section to the cabinets.

Beautiful speakers! Excellent work.

beautiful speakers! Must of taken a lot of time to get such a fine finish quality.

Great looking build!!

Wow, those speakers look like junk. Where's the stylish black simulated wood grain vinyl? And what is with that copper colored looking pointy thing? That's cheap. Pennies are made with copper.

lol, bomber that was hilarious. btw, that driver is a linkwitz favorite. it's tricky to work with though because of the large breakup of the magnesium cone, but otherwise it has a lot going for it.

If they sound as good as they look you should be in audiophile heaven
