4k-5k for 3.1 or 5.1 set up

Hey all-
Ive had a 5.1 paradigm set up for about 6 years now, consisting of atoms and focus bookshelf speakers, and the pdr-10 sub. I think its time for an upgrade, so over the next 2 months I will be saving for what I consider the sweet spot in audio, meaning it will take a considerable amount of money to get something considerably different.

The speakers are going into a living room that is 11X16 and open to my kitchen. Wooden floors, tall ceilings, and bare walls for now, maybe considering the gik art panels for some dampening.

I have been looking at the svs mts-01 set up which is now 4k shipped.

Due to an outside of this industry relationship with the local B&W and Paradigm shop I am able to receive a pretty substantial discount. So I am also considering both the:

Studio 100, C690 and sub 12 set-up, and the just use the focus for surrounds.

CM9, CM2 and sub 12 set-up, and then just use the focus for surrounds.

Im surprised I do not see a whole lot of talk about the MTS lately, on paper with the updated crossovers, they seem like a really nice speaker.

I guess after a super long winded post I am just looking for some guidance as I would hate to go into the store and take up a sales persons time when I would essentially be getting the speakers commission free.

For amps I was thinking of using the Onkyo-1008 and adding an emotiva amp if I need to. These are not apart of the budget.

Thanks for the help, I look forwards to hearing some responses. Not to make the post longer than needed, but I listen to music a lot, and the two things i'm looking for is loud and crisp, but not bright. I listen to mostly modern rock, and hip-hop mostly, with a little country mixed in. It will also be my tv, movies and video game system as well, but I believe that if they can properly handle music, than movies will be fine.

Thanks,
Steve

Maybe I could simplify my above post by just asking if anyone has compared the revised mts-01 to either the studio 100 or the cm9. I could not tell if the shoot out on here was using the new svs crossover or not.

Thanks,
Steve

In a room like yours that is already incredibly bright, I'd probably go for the Bowers. The Digms are, IMO, going to be way too bright and fatiguing in that room.
