Movies more susceptible to flickering?

On testing various 3DTVs, I noticed that clips of movies tended to flicker slightly, whereas game clips and sports didn't.

Is there a difference in the way movies are displayed in 3D that makes them more prone to flicker?

Eg on 200Hz TVs (i'm in the UK), is video shown at 100Hz per eye? So what about 24fps content which doesn't divide into 200?

A fair amount of people are gripe'n about the conversions from 24fps to 60 or in your case 50.

Whilest this may induce some what they call "Judder" it really should not cause the flashes. I'm not sure how you would check it.

So what your really asking is "Can pull down issues during frame rate conversion cause flashing when using active shutter glasses type 3D systems?"
