I'm Gonna be a bit lengthy here. I want to give my set up for you because I am running something a little different then most as I am not using a A/V receiver. So here ya go.

Mitsubishi wd-60737 with 3DA-1 adapter and 3x1 HDMI switcher
Link to cheap HDMI switcher

Comcast Motorola DCT 6412 III
XBOX 360
HTPC with internet and Bluray
EV Sonic XS 4.1 (These were computer speakers that rock very nice read some reviews)(only using 2.1 sound right now)
and I'm a wanting PS3 bad

HTPC Stats

Mobo - Biostar TA790GX 128M Upgradable to Phenom 2 quad Chips and DDR3
Processor - AMD Phenom 8750 triple core 2.4ghz per core
Ram - 4gb (maxed at 3.5 with XP SP3)
Videocard - HIS ATI RAdeon 4890 w/1GB DDR5 onboard ram Crossifire capable
Power Supply - Ultra LSP 750 pro
Optical Drive - Lite on 2x Bluray reader
Harddrive - 750gb

Software - Powerdvd 10 w/Mark II / StereoPlayer (freeware outputs side by side) / Stereoscopic Player been using trial (gonna buy after this post) / IZ3D driver (wanting TriDef as well)

as well a bunch of 3d content that I have been finding.

Now here was my "Problem" I was running the Comcast box / Xbox 360 / and HTPC into my 3x1 HDMI switcher (3D ready) , out to my 3DA-1 adapter, out to my wd-60737 TV. Everything appeared to be working fine. I was currently caught up with internet 3D content and had not been messing with powerdvd 10. What I found was when I plug the HTPC into the HDMI Switcher it forces my videocard to use Multi Monitor(clone mode) only way i could get out of this mode was to go into device manger and uninstall my videocard /unplug everything from everything / plug HTPC back into TV directly / turn pc on and reinstall drivers for Videocard " Boo ". Powerdvd 10 does not allow multi monitor(clone mode) like this for copyright reasons so apparently there is no using the combo of HTPC+HDMI switcher+3DA-1. So here is my resolution.

HDMI 1 on TV
Comcast box / XBOX 360 / and ps3 (hoping will work and that I get one soon) , through 3x1 HDMI switcher , out to 3DA-1 , out to wd-60737 tv.

HDMI 2 on TV
HTPC direct to tv using full version of stereoscopic player for 3D content output to checkerboard / Powerdvd 10 works since I am no longer getting stuck in Multi Monitor(clone moide) anymore

HDMI 3 on TV
DVD/VHS combo

I actually am happy it worked out this way because it was the only way without buying a 4 or 5x1 switcher that I would have a free HDMI input on the HDMI switcher for the PS3 I want. I guess I won't be able to get all that "quality" lol SbS footage on youtube without downloading it first. meh(youtube 3d was to choppy for me over my wireless on tv anyway).
So the reason I posted this was to keep someone else from pulling there hair out . The forcing Multi mode(clone mode) that i couldn't get out of easy was the biggest pain and I fought with it trying to make it work with bad longer delaying the inevitable results (uninstall videocard from device manager and unplug everything).

So end result don't use a HTPC through a switcher(at least with similar setup as me anyway) if you plan on Bluray or dvd support. Like I said at the top this is because I'm not running my sound through a receiver and instead need a HDMI switcher for use with my adapter.

Hope this helps someone because it sucked for me.

I don't unerstand how the switch can force you in to Clone mode.
When in Multi-Monitor clone mode the resolution sent to the secondary monitor is the same as that set for the primary monitor reegarless of what you have it set for. To use differnent output resolutions in Mulit-Monitor mode you have to use extended desktop instead of clone mode.

Thanks for the reply Walford, I am really new to these gaming cards so I am quite sure you know more about it then I do.
I guess it could be the adapter forcing it, I don't know but every time I plugged it into the switcher it went right back to multi monitor (clone mode) and couldn't get rid of it until I uninstalled the card and hooked it back up to the tv directly. Can't explain it. I must say though in hindsight the way I'm going about it now I am having no problems what so ever and it freed up a hdmi on my switcher which works for me because I needed the 1 more input for a PS3. I feel on this 1 for me it falls into the category of "To err is human to really screw things up requires a computer"(I love computers but every once and awhile they really want to make you curse @#$%). Oh well all is well that ends well. Just a strange thing I thought I should point out.
