AE4000 12v trigger to automate masks?

Tried searching but couldn't find the info I wanted.

My question is this. I will be building a 2.35:1 Cinemascope Fixed screen with Da-Lite High Power screen material with Diy side masking. I'll be using it with an AE4000 or 3D AE series successor.

Does the Programmable 12v trigger feature mean the PJ can be set to send a trigger pulse for aspect ratio changes when it does its CIH zooming. If so I'll probably make a simpler system that just masks to 16:9 and 2.35:1, ie. fully open or fully closed and put up with the resultant overscan on 1.85:1 and 2.40:1

If however I can't totally automate the opening or closing of the masking I'll probably come up with a remote controlled variable system instead.

Yes!!

It's not a pulse however, but a constant 12 V signal.
In the menu you can choose when the trigger should be activated.

For example:
Trigger 1: activate when projector power is on
Trigger 2: activate when lens memory 2 is active

This way you could control window blinds or curtains with trigger 1, and the side masking with trigger 2.
