It's able to read any jukebox index (as long as it uses the dune_folder.txt system), wherever it's located : NAS, internal dune drive or even directly from the tablet SDCar (which is a very nice thing because it speeds up the navigation and gives you the hability to use it indefferently in the tablet or in the dune as they almost all have a sdcard reader). IP commands are sent to the dune like if the index was used on the dune through the remote.
it's a real second screen replacating exactly all the jukebox menus and functions but on your tablet.
PS : there's a little box to check to in DMM to make it compatible with DMC.
Thanks. Things are getting more clear, but still need to clarify few more. DMM can only be installed on Windows. That means index can be created on windows only. Since index has links to real media (either audio/video), I am assuming that media should be in static location (static ip address of latop or NAS, or router IP that has usb port). Is it right?
Then, these index files need to be copied to Tablet and DCC need to be pointed to this index. Then, it should be able to send comands to Dune to play media. How does DCC can be used with two dune players (commands to be sent to right player)
Is it possible for laptop to have media? I don't know if it is better idea to assign static ip address to laptop so that index files have pointers to smb on laptop. If I take laptop to any other places, do I need to change to dynamic ip to be able to browser internet?
