Have fun with your dune and yadis
I have one other gripe that I've come across; this is separate from all other previous issues posted - has nothing to do with yaDIS - is exclusively a Dune Smart D1 issue, and more then likely will be considered as a somewhat trivial issue.
I have something like 40 or so BD ISO's. These are Blu-ray 1:1 rips I keep on my htpc drive for easy viewing access (living room & bed room) - absolutely all of these play on my Dune Smart D1 except one - "Predators". Here is the exact message that I get when it starts to play the "Predators" BD ISO:The Region A Blu-ray Disc Cannot Be Played In Your Region B Blu-Ray Player
All my personal knowledge of this issue tells me that this message is not only deceptive, but it is outright wrong. Reason being, all my other Blu-ray discs are "Region A", and they play just fine the Dune. There is no way that my Dune is set as "Region B", it is 100% Region A. Similarly, there is no way that the "Predators" BD ISO is set as any other region but Region A - which the Dune's message does corroborate.
So I don't understand why - for this and *only* this BD ISO - Dune is "claiming" to be a Region B Blu-ray player when indeed it is a Region A Blu-ray player that player all my other Region A or Region Free discs just fine.
I did try the "dune_service_region_switch.dsf " that's publicly available but that didn't do anything; I tried switching the Dune to all three regions as instructed and playing the BD ISO after each switch; I still get the exact same error - so I don't even believe that region_switch hack actually works.
Unfortunately, I don't actually have the Predators disc anymore (Belongs to my sister) so I can't re-rip it. But It has been ripped using the same process I use for any other Blu-ray. I actually end up making all my ISO's Region Free, although some are left as Region A. I did run the BD ISO for "Predators" under a couple of freely available BD Info tools and all tools reported that the BD ISO is "Region Free", that it is *NOT* region locked or has any specific region. This is the case most of my other BD ISO's as well which continue to play just fine in the Dune Smart D1.
So I'm at a brick wall with this issue. Not sure why it's selectively giving me this error on this particular BD ISO.
