New TV for Bedroom, Please help!

Thread Starter
Its been about 5 years since I purchased a new TV. The last TV I purchased was a 42" Panasonic Flat screen. Although this TV still works great, its time to purchase a new 1.

I am looking for some kind of insight on whether I should get an LED or a Plasma also if anyone can recommend a certain brand and model that would be great. I keep reading these problems with the floating blacks for the Panasonic plasmas, and I have read about the color shift issue on some LG's as well.

This TV will be used for my bedroom where I will mainly watch blu-rays and play some video games.

Looking into a TV that's 42-46" with a budget of around $1,200.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For $1,200 think about bumping up to a 50". Sounds big but unless your bedroom is really small they are quite sweet. What is your viewing distance?

Or look at moving the living room TV into the bedroom and get a new main display, what TV do you have in your living room?
