Upgrading Paradigm PS-1000 v4

Thread Starter
I'm looking to replace and upgrade my PS-1000. I'm by no means an audiophile but it has served me well, and it's the only sub I've ever had so I really don't have anything to compare against.

It's currently running with Monitor 7's, CC-370 and mini-monitors for surrounds. The room is approx. 12'x17' with an additional 7' or so behind the couch - so grand total 12x24. I'd like to stay under $1000 and comparable in size (box dimensions) of the PS-1000.

I've read some on the DSP-3400 but don't have to stay with Paradigm for the sake of keeping everything the same brand. In addition it seems like the DSP line is a few years old so I'm not sure if I'd be better off looking for "new technology". I've also read some on SVS and Outlaw, but am hoping to get additional recommendations.

Thanks,
Tom

I went from my ps1000 v1 to an Svs PB12 plus. The difference has been huge. I would recommend one of the Internet dealers over the paradigm.

TDiddy.....I'm looking for a PS-1000 V4 to pair up with some small monitor speakers that I have in a 2 channel music system. If you are selling yours I would like to buy it from you.
