Very nice. Well done. What a great hang out space. You did disappoint me though when you pulled the tap and let that beer just go to waste. Such sacrilege! Otherwise you have a fantastic space.

Brian the bar is REALLY looking great. Both videos really bring it all together for us all. Glad you shared and if you were closer I would LOVE to hang out there and have a few beers. I love how the rock wall turned out and the chalk board paint in the bathroom is simply a great idea.

Chalk paint in the bathroom....great idea. I'll be doing some kind of stone work in my place as well, that came out phenomenal.

I really like the touch screen jukebox, can you tell me what software you are using and how you got it set up like that? I am working on my theater/media room and i would love to have a touchscreen jukebox setup like that for my 165 gigs of music!!

^^ The software is called Albumplayer and can be downloaded/purchased from their website. I also have it in my bar area (thanks to Brian)and enjoy it's ease of use.

we can't find it here,,,(NE ohio), where do you get it?

we had pretty much decided to not put in a kegerator because we can't find kegs of killians

only other beer drinker in the house drinks bud light (ack phooey) & his wife ( my daughter) said he didn't need to spend $350 , on a gizmo that probably won't recoup . ( I guess if we did it , we would have to get 1/4 kegs,, not enough parties here to use it up)

I hate you, I really do. I am gone for a couple months and log back in to see that you put up a freaking rock wall!!! That looks incredible. I totally wanted to do that around the bar but my mom (oops, I meant "Wife") won't let me. Very, Very cool looking.

Looks good. You should have it etched into a bar mirror.

BTW - I'll probably be hitting you up soon with some questions around your touchscreen jukebox. I think I'm going to add a flat screen to my rack.

Great build, youve motivated me to get cracking on redoing mine. Mine has fallen into disrepair and needs a few new tweaks. Just outta curiosity, what did ya end up paying per square foot for teh stone wall. I really like that look and want to do it myself. Love the juke box, Im waiting till my compute takes a dump and then i can get a new one and set it up downstairs. Lookign forward to more updates

Ugh...What a PITA. I feel your pain with contractors. Sadly, it seems like there are more bad ones than good.

It's been a crapshot here with getting work done. We'll go off a referral and then basically get an opinion one way or another after that. We've had some bad ones that we've been able to identify upfront, but have managed to snag some decent (and even cheap) ones on occasion. To date, the guy that just finished building my cabinets yesterday is the best yet.

We had gutters put on our house a few weeks ago.The guy that did the work did a good job and was on time. I thought everything was well until we had out first big rain. I went outside and noticed the water running down from the 2nd floor roof, moving so fast that it was hopping over the lower gutter and blasting the driveway. Not a big deal I figured, we'll just have him come back out and add a section on the upstairs to channel the water down to the lower gutter. 12 feet of gutter and a 6 foot downspout.. Can't be more than $50-60 right?? WRONG


I called the guy up ad he literally told me he had a minimum job fee. WTF about he $1500 I just gave you two days ago?? The end result was that it would be $160, and he'd "try to get to it sometime over the next two weeks depending on his other jobs". Something about having to order the color, setup the machine, change his tampon, blah blah blah... I felt like we were pretty much at his mercy since no one else is going to come out for a $100 job.

I was wondering that too. My wife even said that the so called "expert" should have caught that when he was doing the initial estimate. Pisses me off even more to think that I was so pleased with the initial work that I gave both guys on the crew a beer at the end of the day.
