My computer has an ATI Radeon 4770 PCIe graphics card connected via HDMI to my Denon AVR-591 receiver. The receiver is connected via HDMI to my LG Flatron E2350V monitor. For some reason when I turn my monitor off my computer is unable to play audio through my speakers. It doesn't matter if it's stereo audio from a regular CD or music from a commercial movie DVD. This problem also occured with my old Denon AVR-788 receiver (hookup was identical). I don't have this problem with my old 80GB fat PS3 or my Toshiba HD-XA2 HD-DVD player. What do I need to do to fix this?
