Used HD-XA2 or HD-A35?

I know the format war is long over, however I still have quite a lot of HD-DVDs and am planning on replacing my Xbox 360 has the primary HD DVD player. Anyway, I'm considering the purchase of a used HD-XA2 or HD-A35. Given that both models have reached the end of ther firmware update cycles, which unit would be the better purchase today? Is the HD-A35 still a better choice, or has firmware version 4.0 for the XA2 pretty much evened the playing field in terms of overall performance and stability?

Put yourself in my shoes. If you were to buy one of these players used today, which one would it be?

Firmware isn't an issue anymore for either player, if I were you I would get the HD-XA2 because the REON processor does a great job on DVD's.

Is there still an issue with the 1080p shutoff bug, or has that problem been solved with firmware newer than 2.8?

Get which ever one you can find with the least use. The drives don't last forever. There are a few import HD DVDs that won't play on an A35. XA2 will play everything.
