I thought that Jaden was going to be around for a long while; as a thorn in Alex's side. I mean, she just got a promotion to field agent. As surprised as I was, I'm also glad that Jaden is dead. She was just too suspicious of Alex, and liked to tell everyone about her suspicions. I didn't like the casual way that she suggests getting rid of Nathan. Jaden had a very casual disregard for human life. Good riddance.

Nathan sure is an idiot. His girlfriend tells him that she is working for a secret group of assassins. So as soon as he sees one of Alex's co-workers, he sarcastically remarks that she must be another assassin. What a moron. But he did redeem himself by killing Jaden, to save Alex.

I loved the scene with Alex and Amanda. When Amanda said she had just one more thing to say, I thought that it was going to be some question or piece of evidence that Alex would just barely be able to explain away. I didn't think that she would actually get caught. That was a neat surprise. I loved the way Amanda kicked or punched (can't remember which) Alex into the wall, like she was some weakling.

I like the way that this show is willing to shake things up. Lesser shows would milk plot lines out far several seasons. In one season, we've had a lot of pretty big advancements in the plot. Alex graduates to field agent, only to end up getting exposed as a traitor. Michael flips to Nikita's side. And they've recovered or destroyed half of the black boxes. That's a lot for just one season. I really hope that Nikita gets renewed. I'd like to see what Percy's evil plans for the US government are.

I love all the twists and turns. I'm betting there will be a big clifhanger to end the season. there has been quite a few already this season.

The last scene with Alex and Amanda was jaw dropping.

The series will be renewed and probably put on Friday night.

It definitely has a better shot than Hellcats and One tree Hill could end too.

I cannot see this show getting the ax.

SyFy Channel with bubba wrastlin' & no SF shows on Fri won't be pleased at all
While the red-blooded male fans tune into Nikita instead, SyFy's already puny ratings will go to the abyss

Personally I'd like Nikita to move to Friday because besides Nikita I've got two other programs I like to record(P&R and CSI) at the same Thursday time slot. When they're all new(luckily doesn't happen a lot) I just watch P&R live and record the other two. It's really the only time I'd wish for a 3 tuner DVR
Friday night only has CSI NY so no problem recording it then, either way I want Nikita to stick around. It's really a great show and lets me check CWs signal, the only thing I watch on CW

Wow!

What a cliffhanger.

That felt like a season finale and that was only the lead up.

The last second reminded me of "The Fugitive" finale like 10 years ago which was never finished.

This week was an exciting episode and i cannot wait until next week.

This and The Vampire Diaries seemed like season finales. A lot of big things happened.

I wonder if Alex will switch sides. Hmm...

Of all my shows, I'm most looking forward to the Nikita finale... by FAR.

Nikita hasn't been renewed yet, has it? It's my only CW show and if it gets cancelled that will probably be the end of any CW shows I'd even try in the future.

I almost completely agree (almost = I watch Supernatural also).
The local ABC affiliate licensed the CW on a bit-starved sub-channel that usually has several 10 second blackouts during every show - meaning no HD and not even an uninterrupted broadcast. I have to have "friends" record it for me to even see a full episode.

I haven't heard anything, but maybe the actors want actual money to continue and negotiations have stalled ??

Now that was a great Season, and I hope not Series Finale. Percy finally got at least some of what he deserved, and had a great 1 liner at his secret meeting. Head of the CIA from The Wire. The Computer Guy came through, lots of action, and a swerve at the end... Really hope it's renewed....

It's definitely going to get renewed. I'm just glad this was not a huge cliffhanger like I expected and was more about setting up next season. The "Breaking Bad" one has been with me a year and do not want to think about another.

They need something to pair with supernatural on Friday night and "Nikita" can bring that audience so it will be back.

At the most they will launch 3 new shows and there is no way "Hellcats" gets renewed and they do not.

It would be nice to hear about The CW as other networks are slowly making announcements.

If anyone was a fan of the original La Femme Nikita they probably noticed that last nights episode featured Madeline from the original. Also Nikita's escape down a garbage chute just before the flames erupted was taken from Nikita's first assignment in the original.

Mark,

I was surprised to see that at first with Alberta Watson and it sounds like she might make some appearances next season.
Nice catch Mark, you are right on. I do remember Alberta from the original, and the escape down the chute was also great....Really hope it's renewed

I hope they pair "Nikita" with "The Ringer".

That was an outstanding finale. Fonseca has been stealing the show from Maggie Q all season long and this fnale was no exception as she was sensational once again. Melinda Clarke's role as Amanda is predictable, but she is an asset. Nearly everyone was at their best tonight, and it was nicely setup for season 2. Good job, CW.

Near the end Nikita said to Michale something like you ever wonder about getting to a point where you cannot return. The US remake of the movie Le Femme Nikita was called "Point of No Return."

+1 on both

Alex is just cool. She's becoming the main focus. Love it!
Next season - bring it on!

The episode had a few "suspend belief" moments, like Nikita getting into the CIA in the 1st place and with "toys"

But if you ignore all of that, it made a kick butt story. Percy's look when he launched the commando raid on Nikita's apt was priceless. He just oozed hate!

I liked the Nikita season finale, too, and hope the show is renewed. I've even come around to being able to mostly ignore Shane West's ridiculous scowl and growl performances. The only drawback for me is that the local OKC CW affiliate has awful lip sync issues, which are so bad they detract from the drama.
Apparently the show is big internationally, or has the potential to be (not sure which) and that bodes well for its renewal. Not sure how that's the case after only 1 season, but multiple TV blogs have said that.
I saw an interview online in which Maggie Q said they did not tell her it was picked up until the day before last year.

I'd be stunned if it was not renewed but I wish The CW would announce some of their renewals and other pickups already.

While I feel "Nikita" will be on Friday, I would love to see it paired with "The Ringer" on another night.
Am I nuts or was the final month of this show on par with any season of 24? Loved seeing Alberta Watson again.
Ehh!

I thought you found something online about an official renewal when this thread was bumped.

It was really good though.

"Nikita" will be back but I'm just anxious to see the schedule and hear some news.

TV Notes
CW Renews 'Nikita' & 'One Tree Hill', 'Hellcats' Canceled
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - May 17th, 2011

As expected, the CW has renewed freshman drama Nikita for a second season and will also bring veteran One Tree Hill. Struggling freshman Hellcats has been canceled.

Nikita and OTH have been the stronger performers. Additionally, because of its great brand recognition, Nikita has been netting solid international sales.

No surprise, but I'm still excited for the news. Can't wait for season 2!

Finally!
I am glad Nikita was renewed, too. I watched it every week, despite the horrible lip sync issues the local OKC CW affiliate has and Shane West's grimacing performances, which often made me grimace, too.
No surprise. Glad they let the obvious be known.

"Nikita" moves to Fridays at 8PM for 2011-2012 Season: http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/cw-a...time-schedule/.
Before anyone starts griping about the "Friday death-slot" just look at the rest of the CW's schedule. Friday, paired with Supernatural, is about the only place on the networks schedule that makes any sense. Those shows are the only shows the network has that are anything other than teeny-bopper fluff, so putting them together on Friday works. (I am looking forward to checking out Ringer, it was developed for CBS, so it may be a bit more mature as well.) The flip side to the argument though, is the competition. The other networks also are programming "genre" shows on that night, meaning Nikita will go directly up against Chuck (quite different shows, but with crossover audiences, not to mention producers) and then the 9/8C hour will feature a three-way competition between Supernatural, Fringe and NBC newbie Grimm.
