She probably didn't like the idea of getting shot by the police. For all she knew, the other exit was also blocked. This week reminded me of how good the old episodes were; here's hoping next week proves just as engaging and that the momentum holds until the end of the season. I just hope the renewal/cancellation notice comes soon enough for the season to get a proper ending.

Not sure but I think SNL was spoofing a movie, just not sure which one or ones......

It was the SNL episode hosted by Jeremy Renner. The spoof was all the action movies he's in where guys are holding guns on each other, usually sideways, in standoffs. It was one of the funniest sketches this season. I was rolling on the floor when they were all in the kids' bed with their guns on each other while his dad was reading him a bedtime story. biggrin.gif

^^^ yes that was the one, I was also in stitches and the Nikita scene really reminded me of it biggrin.gif

Here's that "standoff" skit. Enjoy!

I still love Nikita despite its being dumber than rocks. The show is my Number 1 guilty pleasure, closely followed by Banshee. Both shows are using the old 24 formula: write wildly preposterous plots but have them played with deadly seriousness by talented actors. What can I say? It still works.smile.gif

Once again you nailed it gwsat. The talented cast alone makes it worth watching, and frankly it's just a nice moment of escapism, these days I need this. I love the show. Hopefully season 3 won't be the last. smile.gif

Thanks. Nikita is a weekly reminder to me at least that loud and dumb are often underrated.smile.gif

On that note, I loved Ari's moment with Owen in the interrogation room.

"What you found there.... was not of this earth!"
"Hey, give me a minute, he's telling the truth!"
"No I'm not... could you get him out of here now, please?"

For a moment I thought we were getting a sneak peak at the plot for season four. biggrin.gif

It was Michael's line, "Oh, and I learned how to make a fist." that had me laughing. smile.gif That whole "incident" was played perfectly by a talented cast. In other hands, it could have come out eye-rollingly bad, but here they somehow managed to make it work.

A very recent interview with Craig Silverstein, hinting at the possibility of a season 4... Let's just say I'm confident too wink.gif

What have you got planned for the end of the season? Are you considering a cliffhanger or closure?
We might head towards the cliffhanger waters actually ... There is nothing official, but I feel confident. We’re kind of up against it so I’m not sure. Nothing been pitched or approved, but there may be the possibility of doing the good old fashioned cliffhanger.

Wow thats great! I sure wasn't expecting it.

I was timidly approaching this topic with the dread of reading a cancellation notice, so I'm a happy camper. It looks like we'll get a proper ending now with the final half season. Huzzah!

For a while now, places like TV by the numbers has been predicting renewal. It's nice to have it official.

Considering this week's events, I'm extra glad for the final season now. Was this the first time we've seen Percy's accomplice this season? Perhaps we'll finally get some answers about "The Shop" in the fall. I hope Amanda survives next week, so we have something to look forward to in the last episode.
So, why didn't Nikita just shoot Amanda??? She didn't say anything about the old if I die the trigger goes off and Michael dies.... Did I miss it??? All Nikita has to do is write things down for everyone, right???? No Audio...
You did indeed miss it. Amanda said that if Nikita shot her, Michael would die instantly. Nikita can't risk trying to write a message to her people directly, because if they say something like, "What are you writing?" Michael will die.

... with a six episode conclusion.
That should be plenty of time to come up with a really good end run!
I just hope it happens. It makes me nervous when we're supposed to get a final set of episodes, and then the show isn't even part of the schedule.

Of course, she could have texted them out of earshot about the whole situation.

If you're like me and have been waiting eagerly for the premiere date of Nikita's final mission, it was finally announced yesterday. Nikita returns on November 22 and will run its last six episodes every Friday to conclude its run on December 27.
I gave up on Nikita a season and half ago, but I have penciled in those final six episodes. After all we all need completion.

Are all the previous episodes of Nikita available on Netflix or any of the other streaming services(Amazon, Hulu)? If so I may record the final 6 and save them for a marathon, I liked it but gave up on it after a while, too much tv I guess.
