few question to finish my accoustic panels

now i understand i have to treat the screen wall, do i have to treat it behind too? or just side of it. should i use 1 or 2 inches thick? and finally what kind of fabric should i use? what is the breath test? its been few months i'm reading and reading, i have come to understand a few things here and there. where should i use diffuser?

what is GOM? batting and insushield? english is not my first language and would like to understand what fabric should i use!

- "batting" refers to polyester batting, typically you'll find this used to make quilts.
- InsulShield is a Johns Manville insulation product which is (a) black and (b) coated to allow it to be exposed to free air.
